Did you know that newborn babies have very poor eyesight? They can focus best on objects (or faces) that are about 8 inches away from their face. I bet big brother learned quickly how to get his baby brother’s attention!
I love to have some fun with older siblings when they come to a newborn photoshoot. Bigger kids love to hear my silly stories and meet my stuffed animal friends. I cannot remember what I was doing to tease him, but I obviously got some chuckles.
I don’t know what it is about black & white photography and newborn portraits. They seem so timeless and beautiful. I’m especially in love with this image of mom snuggling with her new baby and the joy/comfort on his smiling little face.
I photograph newborn portraits in the studio or at your location all year long. Even though it’s usually difficult to predict the baby’s birth, it’s still important to get on the studio calendar while you are still pregnant. That helps me manage my “workload” even if the day and hour will likely change.
Information about maternity and newborn portrait sessions can be found by clicking on this link for Newborn Photography Information. You may also want to browse through the Baby Portfolio here, or by following the link at the top of this page. You are now able to search and view only NEWBORNS! Take a look at the other categories. This new website format is brand new, so please come back often as I’m continually adding more portfolio and blog posts.
Thank you for trusting all your family photography to me. I love my Thaemert Studio Family!
