It’s not always easy coordinating an outdoor fall photo session here in St Louis. It seems that most years, fall only lasts a week to 10 days. I can never predict when that will happen. This year, at the last minute, I opened up a Saturday which was not pre-dedicated to a working weekend. I’m so thankful I did! I was able to shoot a number of outdoor sessions, this being one of them.
For some, coordinating a family for portraits can be tricky and others are natural at picking out clothes. At this time of year, it’s good to focus on earth tones, jewel tones, blues, grays, browns etc. I think they coordinated perfectly with this fall portraits background.
We went to the St Peter’s Park next to city hall and the Rec-Plex. I usually don’t like to shoot there because it is always filled with photographers. It’s challenging to get good shots without others in your background!
It seems that most families frequently talk about getting professional portraits, but most rarely (if ever) take the time to schedule an appointment for family photos. Those who do, never regret capturing a brief moment in time, marking the day in their family history. Our older daughter has been working on our family genealogy. Family photos are such a gift and bring back so many memories. Heirlooms like family portraits are such a wonderful way to preserve your family history.
Don’t just think about having your family portraits. Don’t talk about it. Call or contact us today to schedule your family photos. It’s best to schedule well in advance so that you have your first choice for days and times. It’s not uncommon for us to schedule 3-6 months in advance for family sessions.
I look forward to photographing YOUR family this year!
