There’s nothing better than watching a baby grow throughout the first year.  The first milestone we celebrate is holding his head high.  Next, sitting is to be showcased, and finally, standing and eventually walking.  Did you know that most babies take their first steps sometime between 9 and 12 months of age?   It’s okay if your child takes a little longer, though. It’s perfectly normal for some children to wait to walk until they’re 16 or 17 months old.  I actually prefer if the baby is NOT walking at his first birthday portrait session.

This little guy came to the studio three times during his first year to celebrate his milestones.  I’m happy to say he was not independently walking around the studio!  We did some traditional portraits as well as some fun poses, including cake, bubbles, and buckets.  I think my favorite is the pose with his little teddy bear.  Which one is your favorite?

FAQs:
Q: When should I sign up for the baby plan?
A: Any time before the baby turns 4 months is fine to join the plan if you want to come three times.  If you prefer a 3, 6, 9, 12-month plan, please call prior to the 3rd month birthday.  You will want to call well ahead of your first session to get on the calendar, especially if you need a Saturday appointment.

Q: What do I get when I join the plan?
A: You will not be charged separate session fees for the baby plan appointments.  You will receive a framed portrait collage with one image from each of your plan sessions.
